We are Mary and Susan, two friends who built a little boutique in Savannah out of the most unlikely beginning.

We met in 2001, in a widow's group on a quiet side of town. Both of us had lost the men we had built our lives around, and both of us were trying to figure out how to begin again. When Susan lost her Frank, it was Mary who showed up at the door with warm meals and stayed until the house felt like a home again. Years later, when Mary lost her Bill, Susan did the very same. Somewhere in all of that cooking and crying and quiet company, two strangers became family.

The boutique grew out of that friendship. We had always loved getting dressed, not to impress anyone, but for the small joy of feeling like ourselves again. So we started gathering the pieces we loved and sharing them with the women around us. What began at a kitchen table is now Mary & Susan Savannah, the same little shop the two of us still run today.

For twenty-five years, that little shop has taught us what truly matters. We have learned to look past whatever is loud, new, or cheap, and to notice what a woman actually reaches for instead. The blouse that feels soft against the skin. The dress that drapes without clinging. The jacket that keeps you warm on a cool Savannah evening. Before anything earns a place in our shop, we ask ourselves one simple question. Would we choose this for a dear friend? If the answer is anything less than yes, it stays out.

That same care follows you long after you place an order. We are not a faceless company, and you are not a number to us. You are the reason we still do this. When you write to us, it is one of us writing back. When something is not right, we make it right. Your trust has always mattered to us more than any sale.
